In November our students enjoyed a tribute to Mediterranean cuisine, Greek food and the Olive. They cycled through 5 stations where they had experiences to use all 5 senses in learning about the importance of the olive to Greek culture from ancient times to today. Older students received reinforcement on the importance of the Mediterranean diet and all had the opportunity to participate in a contest where they had to guess the age of the oldest olive tree in the world, found in Crete. We would like to thank Mr. George Milonas for donating the olives, olive oil and all the supplies for the Greek salad station!
